-- Tyco Valves and Controls has invested in two hyperbaric chambers to test ultra-deepwater valves for its Forged Steel Valves
Flow Control Technologies (FCT) division.
The two facilities can be used to simulate pressure conditions up to a depth Balance valves
of 3,000 m (9,842 ft), and to fully test subsea valve and actuator operation.
Each chamber has an equipment vertical loading system, with sufficient Gauge Valves
penetrations for electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic instrumentation, and ROV torque tools.
The facilities allow a range of tests including cycle testing many times beyond theReducing Valves
valves/actuators’ operational requirements.
