Rane Engine Valve, the flagship company of the Rane Group, has recently inaugurated their new line for manufacturing of Valves for Kappa Engines of Hyundai Motor India. With a dedicated line catering to Kappa EnginesGlobe Valves of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., Rane Engine Valves ramps up its manufacturing capacity, as this line will supply valves for 400 kappa engines per day. The manufacturing line was officially inaugurated at REVL, Seniapatti Kasavanur Village, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukottai District, Tamilnadu by H J Shin, senior executive Director (P&S), Hyundai Motor India Ltd., in the presence of Mr. L. Ganesh, Chairman, Rane Group, G. Ramkumar, president, Rane Engine Valve Limited and other government officials. Commenting on the occasion, L. Ganesh said, "The new line being inaugurated here at Rane Engine Valve Ltd today is a significant indicator of Rane Group’s ability to innovate and also a good example how bold, new thinking can create visions and solutions to complement the business goals. The new Reducing Valves line further strengthens the company's market position as a leader in the engine valves segment in India. In the global markets, winners are those companies that are ready to transform according to the needs of their customers, boost the efficiency of their operations, improve productivity and maintain a constant effort to foster their competitiveness." With Hyundai Motor starting three shift operations for kappa engine REVL has done additional investment to increase the capacity to 550 kappa engines per day. The investment, which totalled over Rs. 120 million, excluding land cost and building cost, includes new improved machines in forging, heat treatment and machining, and spreads across 8,000 sq.ft floor area. It is to be mentioned that REVL has 5 manufacturing facilities across India. REVL’s annual turnover for the financial Filter 2008-09 stood at Rs. 2,211million with 33 per cent of its revenue coming from exports. REVL serve a variety of industry segments such as, passenger cars, multi-utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, farm tractors, three-wheelers, two wheelers and stationary engines.
